  1. Even though they didn't quite work out, I'm impressed that you made your own sprinkles! :)

  2. Adjusting to a new oven is always hard. Mine's one of those where the grill is in the oven and it's the next notch on the dial to the oven setting. I have actually tried to grill cakes several times! I like your sprinkles idea. I agree they are a nightmare to find, I wish someone would start making a vegan friendly brand

    1. Ooh, my oven is the same. I've not tried to grill cakes, but I have tried to bake toast. Not recommended, takes far too long :P

Vegan sprinkles could be a great market!

  3. Oh no! But I'm so glad you posted it. So much work goes into cupcakes, it would be such a shame to not share it even if it doesn't go as planned -just like life, right? I'm with Julie and really impressed you made your own icing! Is 'Vegan Sprinkles' already branded? You might have your product name!

  4. It's so frustrating when things don't go to plan, particularly when there are time constraints and you feel the pressure of getting it right! I certainly have my fair share - in fact I had a similar run with a cake I tried to make today, which also ended up shallow and a bit sunken in. Boo. I bet they tasted great anyway :)

  5. I have to admit that I love this. I know I'm not the only blogger who struggles with perfectionism. I love it when we're honest about things not turning out, or things going pear-shaped.
